Hailing from the West Coast of Australia, Michelle Garwood's infatuation for the art of hairdressing has been in her blood from a youthful age. From a small town salon she began her career at the age of 16. Michelle’s amazing eye for detail, precision and creativity found her 7 years later in a leading role as a color technician and stylist at Sable Hair in the creative nook of Darlinghurst, Sydney. There Michelle established a loyal following of clientele as well as participating on the Redken Australia team for educational events and runway shows.

 

Recognition from her peers in the industry saw Michelle offered a position in London as a freelance hair assistant. Working through Premier Hair and Makeup agency, Michelle began assisting some of the best hairdressers in the world, including Sam McKnight and Syd Hayes.

 

Michelle has been present on shows for Sydney, London and New York Fashion Week and also the Chanel shows in Paris. Her talents have allowed her to work with some of the world’s most elite photographers, including the likes of Juergen Teller, Alasdair McLellan, Solvē Sundsbo and top Magazines LOVE, Vogue USA, Dazed and Confused, W and Hunger Magazine.
